Hannover 96 winger DaMarcus Beasley hopes to return to training on Thursday after sitting out briefly with a hip knock.

The US star suffered a bruise of the joint in Monday's session, but the club have crossed fingers that he will be available for selection when the third place Reds visit Bundesliga defending champions Bayern Munich on Saturday.

"He should start training again tomorrow after a small problem with his hip," Hannover press spokesman Oliver Rickhof told MLSsoccer.com on Wednesday morning. "It's not so bad, but he had to stop for two or three days."

Beasley, who arrived in August on a free transfer from Scottish champsions Rangers, has made one league appearance for Die Roten thus far.
