Fire raise 10K as Marathon partner

The Fire are the first professional sports team to be recognized as a charity partner for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon

The Chicago Fire Soccer Club, in conjunction with the Chicago Fire Foundation, are the first professional sports team to be recognized as a charity partner for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon. This Sunday, Oct. 10, runners supporting the Chicago Fire Foundation will join the near 45,000 other participants from all 50 states and more than 100 countries to kick off the race in Chicago’s Grant Park. The Fire Foundation Marathon Team, comprised of 11 runners, will raise $10,000 for the Chicago Fire Foundation impacting Chicagoland youth in health, education and wellness. Notable team participants include Fire staff and fans.

To support runners, the Fire will host a cheer station at the 14th Mile as part of the race’s Charity Block Party. For additional information on the Bank of America Chicago Marathon, click here.
