Chicago Fire rookie goalkeeper Sean Johnson earned his second and third NAPA MLS Save of the Week nominations after making two vital saves in the closing minutes of the Fire’s 0-0 draw against the New York Red Bulls in front of the largest Fire crowd in TOYOTA PARK history. In his second MLS start, Johnson prevented a Ream volley from reaching the back of the net in the 90th minute, by deflecting the seeking strike just above the crossbar. The 21-year-old’s second nomination came when the rookie ‘keeper dove to save Juan Pablo Angel’s last minute header to keep the game level in the waning moments of extra time. This marks Johnson’s second consecutive week as a NAPA MLS Save of the Week nominee.
