FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Positive feelings emanated from the visitor’s locker room at Gillette Stadium following the Chicago’s 1-0 win over the New England Revolution Sunday night, but not all was well with a pair of Fire midfielders.

Justin Mapp and Baggio Husidic each dealt with injury issues Sunday night. Mapp was a late scratch from the starting lineup due to a quad injury he picked up while training on Saturday and Husidic had to be removed from the match in the first half after taking a knock to his right ankle.
Mapp is hopeful that his injury won’t keep him out for too long.
“[It’s just] a little pain in the quad,” he said. “It shouldn’t be too bad, but I wasn’t ready to go.”
Husidic’s status is less clear.
“My foot got caught in the turf and he (a New England player) kind of came over and hit [my ankle],” Husidic said. “We’ll see. We’ll find out more tomorrow.”
Mike Banner filled in for Mapp, starting the match and going the full 90 minutes. Midfielder Peter Lowry replaced Husidic in the center of the park in the 38th minute.
