2013: Made his MLS debut on Aug. 10 in a 2-1 win over the Montreal Impact, starting an going 76 minutes. Started nine of 13 matches in which he appeared. Scored his first goal in the 30th minute against the New England Revolution on Sept. 14. Scored a header in the 25th minute against FC Dallas on Oct. 12.
Previous Experience: The Ibarra, Ecuador product made his professional debut at the age of 19 for Guayaquil side Barcelona Sporting Club on Feb. 16, 2008. Over the course of two seasons, Anangonó scored eight goals across 32 matches. Anangonó then joined Nacional in 2011 where he appeared in 72 matches and scored 30 goals before going on loan to Argentinos Juniors. At Argentinos Juniors, Anangonó scored five goals in 32 matches.
International: A U-20 Youth International, Anangonó made four appearances for Ecuador in the 2009 South American U-20 Championship. Anangonó has one cap for the senior Ecuadorian Men’s National Team, appearing in a 1-1 World Cup Qualifying draw against Argentina on June 11, 2013.
