How he joined the club: Signed on Feb. 29, 2016 as a Discovery Signing

2017 (CHICAGO FIRE): Started and played 89 minutes in a 1-1 draw at CLB on 3/4, the Fire’s first game of the season. It would be the last action Goossens saw in 2017 after suffering an injury in the game’s closing minutes, an injury that required surgery to repair an Osteochondral defect of the talus and deltoid ligament sprain in his right ankle.

2016 (CHICAGO FIRE): Had three goals and four assists in 24 games, 15 of which were starts. Had an assist in his club debut on 3/11 at ORL. He scored his first goal in a 1-0 win on 7/1 vs. SJ. U.S. Open Cup: Started two of the club’s four games. Recorded an assist in a 2-1 win on 6/28 vs. CLB. 

2015 (VOLUNTARI): Joined Voluntari on Feb. 27, 2016. Scored one goal in 14 regular season games and made one appearance during league cup action.

2014 (PUNE CITY): Joined Pune City on Aug. 27, 2014. Scored two goals and had two assists in five total appearances for the Indian Super League side.

2013-14 (FEYENOORD): Posted one goal in 23 total senior team appearances, 20 of which came during Eredivisie play and three during the KNVB Cup. He also recorded six goals and three assists in 11 appearances for the club’s second team.

2012-13 (FEYENOORD): Joined Feyenoord on July 1, 2012. Goossens had two goals and four assists during 10 Eredivisie appearances and scored three goals in nine second division games.

2011-12 (NEC): Scored four goals in 14 games between Eredivisie and KNVB Cup action.

2010-11 (NEC): Breakout season for Goossens who scored seven goals and had eight assists in 31 Eredivisie games. He had a multi-goal game against VVV-Venlo, tallying twice in a 4-1 win on April 9, 2011.
