Feilhaber still red-hot

It was a Sunday card full of action for Americans in Europe, with red-hot Aarhus GF midfielder Benny Feilhaber lifting the Danish league league leaders past visiting Køge 3-2 with a stunning last-gasp free kick.

The US playmaker buried an angled restart from the left in the 90th minute to decide matters and bag his fifth goal in the last three games.

In addition to his clutch winner, Feilhaber also notched a pair of assists, setting up their first with a pinpoint corner kick and AGF's 2-2 equalizer with a short tee-up pass.

Over in England's Premier League, Stuart Holden put in a decent if unremarkable showing as Bolton held mighty visitors Manchester United to a 2-2 draw.

Brad Friedel stood quite tall in goal as Aston Villa continued playing rude Wolverhampton guests with a smash-and-grab 2-1 derby victory at Molineaux.

Wolves 'keeper Marcus Hahnemann also pulled off a pair of top shelf saves on the day, but Friedel did him one better with second-half showtime stops on Steven Fletcher, Kevin Doyle and Christoph Berra.

Both Brad Guzan and Eric Lichaj watched from the Villa bench as they climbed away from the drop zone.

In nearby Scotland, Maurice Edu worked a clean-up 16 as Rangers stayed perfect on the league season with a 3-2 win at Aberdeen.

In Germany, Steve Cherundolo captained his side to a 1-0 victory at Kaiserslautern that lifted the Reds back into third place in the Bundesliga.

A boat ride north in Denmark, recovered FC Nordsjælland defender Michael Parkhurst returned to the lineup with a sturdy shift in a 3-0 win over AC Horsens that vaulted the Wild Tigers out of the relegation area.
