More Viewing Parties
The Chicago Fire Soccer Club announced today that the club will participate in World Cup viewing parties at a number of locations throughout the Chicagoland area for the 2010 World Cup matches between Mexico and France on Thursday, June 17 at 1:30 PM CT, and the United States vs. Slovenia game on Friday, June 18 at 9:00 AM CT. The Fire will be on hand at Mi Tierra Restaurant tomorrow, June 17 at 1:30 PM CT for the World Cup match between Mexico and France. Fire midfielder Julio Martinez will join fans to help celebrate the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The Fire will continue their support of the United States Men’s national team by hosting several viewing parties throughout the Chicagoland area on Friday, June 18 at 9:00 AM CT. The United States opening match against England was the most-watched FIFA World Cup first-round match ever. Harry Caray’s Tavern – Navy Pier, located at 700 E Grand Ave., Chicago IL 60611, will also host a viewing party for the USA vs. Slovenia game. Fans can register to win a giant World Cup Jabulani soccer ball autographed by Fire forward Brian McBride (USA – 98’, 02’, 06’), Head Coach Carlos de los Cobos (MEX – 86’), and Fire Technical Director Frank Klopas (USA – 94’) with the winner be drawn during World Cup Night at TOYOTA PARK when the Fire take on reigning MLS Cup Champions Real Salt Lake on Thursday, July 8 at 8:30 PM CT (ESPN2). Fans can enter to win Fire team signed merchandise and giveaways, and check out the collection of notable Chicago Fire memorabilia on display in Harry’s Museum.
