Chicago Fire Alumni Abroad: Weekend Recap

How did Fire alums abroad fare this weekend?

As a new feature, we'll be recapping Alumni performances from abroad every Tuesday.

Chris Rolfe - A familiar face in former Fire striker Chris Rolfe who made his second appearance this weekend for Alborg BK in the Danish First Division this week. Rolfey sent this photo over and we'll be checking in with him later in the season to see how his time is progressing.

Rolfe played the final 15
minutes in Alborg's 1-1 draw with FC Nordsjælland. The match remained scoreless
until the 89th minute when Nordsjælland's Andreas Laudrup put the club ahead.
Alborg's Ronnie Schwartz served to disappoint the hosts with a blast deep into
stoppage time, forcing the teams to share the spoils. Following the winter
break, Alborg sit fifth in the Danish SuperLiga with 35 points, within striking
distance of third place Silkeborg (38) and fourth place Esbjerg (37).

Carlos Bocanegra - Played the full 90
minutes for French First Division side Stade Rennes in their 3-1 victory over
Le Mans. With 49 points, Rennes sit seventh in the Ligue 1 table, five points
out of a Europa League place. Bocanegra has appeared in 21 matches, taylling
two goals and an assist from the Rennes backline so far this season.

Bakary Soumare - Played 29 minutes
before being sent off in Boulogne's 3-0 loss to Paris St. Germain in France's
Ligue 1. Boulogne sit 18th with 23 points in the Ligue 1 table, six points
inside the league's relegation zone with eight matches left this season. The
Malian international has made 13 appearances for Boulogne in 2009-10.

DaMarcus Beasley - Did not play
in Rangers 4-1 victory over Hearts. Beasley has made eight appearances for the
Teddy Bears this season, recording two goals and four assists for the Scottish
table toppers.
