It was with a long-distance strike in a 4-1 loss to Toronto that current Fire captain Logan Pause won the club's 2010 Goal of the Year award with. A year later, another long-range effort, this time "through the guise of smoke", landed the 2011 award in rookie defender Jalil Anibaba's lap.

With the 2012 season coming to an end last week, It's time once again to elect the club's Goal of the Year with a daily vote every weekday from Tuesday, November 6 to Wednesday, November 28.

The 16 entries (all from competitve matches) were nominated by fans, players, technical staff and front office as the top goals of the season, seeded and placed in each bracket (Armas, C.J., Kubik, Nowak) accordingly.

In Tuesday's second semifinal, Austin Berry's game winning header (8/4 vs. Toronto FC) continued its darkhorse run, upsetting Marco Pappa's olimpico (4/28 vs. Seattle) to move to the final of the 2012 Goal of the Year Bracket

It's Championship Wednesday as 2012 MLS Rookie of the Year Austin Berry's header vs. Toronto (8/4) faces 2012 Chicago Fire Most Valuable Player and Golden Boot Winner Chris Rolfe (9/22 vs. Columbus) for the right to the club's Goal of the Year.

RULES
1) Voting will open by 9:30am CT each week day and run to 11:59pm CT that night.
2) The goal with the most votes advances to the next round.
3) The previous day's winner will be announced with the current day's matchup. 
4) All entries come from competitive Fire matches (goals in friendlies do not count).
